About Me and My Blog
I am a native Floridian currently residing in Ohio courtesy of my hubby’s job serving our country in the US Air Force. I grew up in Florida and we lived in Georgia prior to coming to Ohio in August of 2014; so this is my first experience living in sub-freezing temperatures and a snowy, white winter.
This shock to my system has kept me inside for most of the last few months, giving me plenty of time to catch up on my many projects. I’ll be honest though, I’m not complaining one bit. I love crafting and any excuse to work on my projects is ok in my book. *2016 UPDATE: I have learned that I love the snow and don't mind the sub-freezing temps nearly as much as I thought I would. Don't get me wrong, I don't plan on moving to Alaska any time soon but the few months of snow is so much more fun than I imagined! My love of crafting does not apply to only one type of crafting, it applies to ALL kinds of crafting! Learning new skills, making gifts for others, turning ideas into finished projects, and decorating my home are just a few of the reasons crafting is so appealing to me. It has always served as a great outlet for my many whims and ideas. I have even turned one facet of my crafting into a small business. Through Beyond Bottles Décor I create upcycled wreaths and home décor out of clean, recycled, plastic bottles. You can find more information about that on my Beyond Bottles Decor website and Facebook page. So now you may be wondering what lead me to blog about crafting. As I mentioned in my first post, I was cleaning out my craft room and reminiscing over past projects when the idea to create a “project journal” popped into my head. This thought lead me to another thought… “Why not try something new and share this journal with other crafters through a blog?” So, here it goes… Crafting CategoriesCrafting categories I have dabbled in and will be covering in this blog will include
